ESPN Power Rankings: Eagles #4
May 27th, 2009 | by joeb03 |The first ESPN Power Rankings of the year were just released and this is how the top 10 shakes up:
1: Steelers
2: Patriots
3: Giants
4: EAGLES: “With the additions of Jeremy Maclin, Jason Peters and LeSean McCoy, this should be one of the top offenses.”
5: Colts
6: Ravens
7: Chargers
8: Titans
9: Cardinals
10: Panthers
I think the ESPN crew did a nice job in their first release of the power rankings. I still hate to see the Giants above the Eagles, mainly because a huge part of their success in the past few years (Plaxico Burress) is no longer with the team. The funny thing is that the Eagles offense could be very prolific even without significant contributions from rookies Jeremy Maclin and LeSean McCoy. However, I’ll take #4 on this early list and hope to end the year at #1.
